Rwanda

Rwanda is often called the land of a thousand hills and when flying over it is obvious why. This tinny little country is probably one of the most populated areas of any of the African countries. Every spare inch of land here is cultivated, however, even with these parameters in place, there is still space for conservation. Rwanda has approximately half of the population of mountain gorillas in the world. It also boasts a mountain rain forest with over 13 species of primates, including chimpanzees. With a rich cultural background and areas like Akagera national park to round it off, Rwanda is a must-visit on any trip to East Africa.
